Overview

WildChina is looking to hire a passionate and detail-oriented native English speaker.  This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to play a key role in an award-winning experiential travel company.  This role requires a strong writer who has a creative mindset and abilities to drive WildChina’s content creation and amplification to grow our social media accounts and website SEO. 


 Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and growing the company’s social media accounts including, WeChat, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Implementing strategic marketing plans that fit the overall goals of the company
  • Developing cohesive and creative storytelling strategies
  • Creating compelling and engaging product marketing copy using the WildChina tone and voice
  • Producing content that fits with the overall marketing strategy
  • Transforming logistical information into timely and informative client-facing content
  • Creating copy for direct mail marketing campaigns that WildChina’s audience loves to read
  • Optimizing copy using knowledge of SEO
  • Researching and implementing digital marketing strategies

Required skills and qualifications:

  • A passion for travel, adventure, and storytelling
  • Aspire to go far and accomplish BIG things. Looking to build something amazing alongside top quality team members
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: Desire to experiment and test new ideas – no matter how wild or crazy
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably business, marketing or communications related
  • Hands-on experience with a demonstrated ability / track-record. An attention to detail to such a level that you are known as ‘eagle eyed’
  • Highly organized and enjoy a flexible way of working

The WildChina Marketing Intern will be an integral part of the WildChina Education team in the Shanghai or Beijing office. S/he will work closely with the Education & Marketing staff to create content for WildChina’s digital marketing campaigns and will represent the Education team on key cross- team initiatives. We are looking for a native English speaker to assist the Education team for at least a 2-month time period. Position starts immediately.


Role responsibilities will include: 

  • Managing and creating content for the WildChina blog 
  • Collaborating with the Sales team to create new site descriptions for WildChina clients 
  • Managing sections of the WildChina website including optimizing the site for SEO 
  • Assisting with planning and execution of Marketing campaigns 
  • Assisting with longer-term Marketing initiatives 

Qualifications and experience should include: 

  • Fluent English speaker 
  • Ability to work under deadlines and submit work in a timely manner 
  • Knowledge of Mandarin Chinese (desirable) 
  • Background in Marketing and/or working in a start-up environment

WildChina is looking for a qualified intern to join our WildChina Education Operations team in Beijing. Our education department customizes and delivers the best LOTC (learning-outside-the-classroom) experiences for international schools and top educational institution around the world. We are seeking a full-time intern who can participate in various stages of itinerary design and project operations.  
 
This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of project management. 


Role responsibilities will include: 

  • Assist in the search for accommodation, venues, vendors, experts, instructors and etc. resources for the new educational programs 
  • Assist in booking logistical services 
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of pre-departure pack for clients 
  • Assist in carrying out assessments for programs  
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of proposals  
  • Assist in the auditing of adventure activity, accommodation, transportation etc.  
  • Prepare presentations 
  • Open and sort emails 
  • Enter contact information into contact management systems 
  • Assist in writing articles about educational programs which will be released on social media  
  • Assist in budgeting and costing for every educational program  

Qualifications and experience should include: 

  • Undergraduate student in Beijing majoring in Tourism, English or Education 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills 
  • The desire to learn about the following industries: education, travel & tourism, events & project management  
  • Driven and hard-working 
  • Ability to take direction and multi-task 
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
